SUNWAY LAGOON

This multiple-award-winning attraction was voted as ‘Asia’s Best Attraction’ by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) from 2007–2010, ‘Asia’s Best Waterpark 2011’ by IAAPA and ‘Best Man-Made Tourist Attraction 2005/2006’ by Tourism Malaysia.

The Water Park has two areas to bring you twice the fun. Waters of Africa is the ultimate land of spills and thrills, with attractions including the Vuvuzela and the Waterplexx 5D, while Surf Beach is the World’s Largest Man-Made Surf Beach.
Fog, smoke effects, water jets, fountains and mist – all packed into the ultimate, multi-sensory journey unlike any the world has ever seen. The Waterplexx 5D is the first of its kind in the world, a water-based attraction which engages the rider’s sense of sight, sound and touch. Whether it is a pirate’s adventure or an underwater wonderland, visitors can expect to feel everything they see, from the gust of wind to a powerful gale.

The Vuvuzela, Sunway Lagoon’s latest attraction and the world’s largest water ride, is a sight to behold, as it occupies 3,360m (three times of the size of an Olympic standard swimming pool) of the water park. From a launch tower an incredible eleven storeys (30m) high, the Vuvuzela plunges you through a ride that spans 152m, designed to resemble riding rapids on a turbulent river, before mercilessly plummeting you into the world’s largest water funnel, 22m in diameter which also sits 4m above the ground.
Five Different Parks in One Amazing Destination
The Vuvuzela entered the Malaysia Book of Records in 2013 as the Biggest Water Ride in Malaysia. Aside from the Vuvuzela, the theme park’s very own Waterplexx 5D has also made it into the Malaysia Book of Records in 2012 as the first 5D Waterplexx in Malaysia.

Stretching over 13,000sq m, the Surf Beach is capable of churning out perfectly shaped waves up to the maximum height of 8ft. The ability to condition the waves according to the needs of the surfers in terms of height, time and wave patterns make Surf Beach at Sunway Lagoon a surfer’s paradise for both professional and aspiring surfers. Complementing the scenery is the sight and sound of Asia’s Biggest Man-Made Erupting Volcano. One of the many attractions to hit the shores of the Surf Beach is the FlowRider, Malaysia’s First Surf Simulator.
The Amusement Park is made up of the following two themes to wow visitors from all walks of life. Wild Wild West brings visitors back to an old Western cowboy town, while World of Adventure is where adventure comes alive. Among the highlights here are the Pedestrian Suspension Bridge, which is one of Malaysia’s Longest Suspension bridges at 428m long, and Pirate’s Revenge, Malaysia’s first and only 360-degree rotating pirate ship that will swivel you to 24m above ground level.
Wildlife Park @ Sunway Lagoon, Malaysia’s First Interactive Zoo, features exotic, small and friendly animals from a range of birds, reptiles and mammals. The zoo’s concept encourages guests to not only see and learn about the animals but to get up close and personal by touching them. This first and only fully interactive animal-themed attraction in Malaysia houses more than 150 species of exotic and tame animals.

Extreme enthusiasts need not look further for adrenaline pumping activities. ALL the power packed action can be found at ONE place – Extreme Park at Sunway Lagoon. So, prepare to challenge yourself for the highest, the longest and the fastest thrills and excitement. Among the highlights include Asia’s Longest Flying Fox Trail at 206m and G-Force X – Asia’s Highest and Fastest Slingshot Ride that goes from 0-120km in 2 seconds and up to 65m in height.

Lynton V. Harris’ Scream Park provides an intense, exhilarating and live interactive ‘scare’ experience that takes the senses to new heights of perception by using state-of-the-art audio and visual technology as well as live actors. Spread over two floors, Lynton V. Harris’ Scream Park takes the walkthrough scare attraction and laser format to ground-breaking proportions with Hollywood-style sets and a team of highly specialised and trained performers
