The Royal Langkawi International Regatta is a prestigious sailing event that attracted some 60 yachts with 400 participants to the inaugural regatta in 2003. The Raja Muda International Regatta is Malaysia’s longest established yacht regatta that aims to provide a fun racing environment. The fleet races over seven days from Port Klang, near Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi, stopping over in Pangkor and Penang on the way. Langkawi International Convention Centre
Situated in an idyllic cove on the southern tip of Langkawi, this 5,685 sqm convention centre offers facilities for conferencing, meeting and banqueting. Opened on 1 March 2015, this centre has hosted high-profile events such as Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) 2015, 26th ASEAN Summit and ASEAN Drug Matters Meeting. Langkawi International Convention Centre is located about 20 minutes from the airport and 3km from Kuah town.
