Negeri Sembilan
Negeri Sembilan simply means ‘Land of Nine States’ because it once comprised nine separate districts, each ruled by a Malay Chieftain. Seremban, its capital is easily accessible by road and rail from Kuala Lumpur, about 50 kilometres away. Among the main attractions of the town are the Cultural Handicraft complex, the State Museum, the State Mosque and the Lake Gardens. Negeri Sembilan lies on the western coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The total area of the state is 6,686 square kilometres.

Ulu Bendul Recreational Park
Species Count : +140 bird species.
Habitat : Located on Gunung Angsi’s slopes, Ulu Bendul Recreational Park features lowland and hill dipterocarp forests, plus riparian vegetation along the Batang Terachi River.
Visitor Experience : Birdwatching at Ulu Bendul is popular along walking trails, picnic spots, and riverbanks, offering great views and easy access for all visitors.
Resident Birds : Sultan Tit, Black-and-yellow Broadbill, Green Broadbill, Blue-winged Leafbird, Buff-necked Woodpecker, Chestnut-breasted Malkoha, and Greater Racket-tailed Drongo.
Migratory Birds (August–March) : Asian Brown Flycatcher, Mugimaki Flycatcher, Yellow-rumped Flycatcher, Eastern Crowned Warbler, and Tiger Shrike
Talang Birdwatching Trail (Talang – Langkap Road)
Species Count : +200 bird species.
Habitat : The Talang–Langkap Road traverses a mosaic of habitats, including secondary lowland forests. The presence of fruiting trees and flowering shrubs along the roadside attracts bulbuls, sunbirds, and barbets, while forest edges and clearings support woodpeckers, trogons, and raptors.
Visitor Experience : Birdwatching at the Talang Birdwatching Trail is typically done along the roadside. The trail is best explored on foot or by driving slowly, with frequent stops to scan for birds.
Resident Birds : Black-naped Monarch, Rufous-tailed Tailorbird, Great slaty Woodpecker, Bronzed Drongo, Red throated Sunbird, Finsch’s Bulbul, and Red-billed Malkoha.
Migratory Birds (August–March) : Oriental Honey-buzzard, Black Paradise Flycatcher, and Arctic Warbler.
